Agni Sentral Motor is proud to introduce its newest initiative, Agni Care, which focuses on stewardship and helping those in need. The program’s mission is simple yet impactful: to support underprivileged communities, starting with those who face significant hardships. As part of its initial outreach, the Agni Care team recently visited a local yatim piatu facility near its base of operations in BSD. The conditions they encountered were dire, with severe leaks and other structural issues affecting the children’s quality of life.

At the facility, six to seven children are being cared for, most of whom have been abandoned or lack parental support. Their daily routine revolves around studying, as they strive to become contributing members of society. The steward who oversees the facility emphasizes the importance of education in shaping the children’s futures and preparing them to make a positive impact on their communities.

During the visit, the Agni Care team conducted a thorough survey of the facility, identifying several areas that required urgent attention. In addition to assessing the building’s needs, they donated much-needed food supplies to help the children survive the coming months, as the facility lacks a steady sponsor. Understanding the pressing issues, Agni Care has taken the initiative to not only provide resources but also improve the children’s living conditions, which have been hindered by frequent water leaks caused by a deteriorating roof.

After careful evaluation, the Agni Care team engaged a general contractor to assess the scope of repairs needed to make the facility livable. The conclusion was clear: the roofing system needed to be replaced due to water pooling caused by uneven surfaces. Agni Care has since committed to working on the house for several weeks, installing waterproof tiles and patching the existing roof to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for the children.
